For the past several months, IDOT has engaged in a process of building an application to replace the current system used to issue (OS/OW) permits in Illinois.

The Illinois Transportation Automated Permits System, ITAP, will bring the Departmentís software into the 21st century and allow it to better serve the OS/OW community in Illinois and across the country.  The official ITAP system is tentatively planned to be deployed and operational to all users January 3, 2013 at 8:00 am Central time.

Starting December 10, 2012 we will allow customers access to our TEST website.  Customers will receive an email with an attachment on the 10th that contains the link to our TEST website, as well as, logon directions.  This TEST website will allow users a chance to learn how to use the new system before it is launched and will be shut down December 20, 2012. 

On December 17, 2012 at 9:00 am, the Department will host a live webinar to brief users on the ITAP system and to address any questions.
